Seed Library LogoWater Conservation Logo

Calling all gardening novices and experts alike! Our Seed Library allows adults to "check out" and keep up to three different types of seeds every seven days. We'll feature different varieties of seeds for spring and fall planting. Seeds are sourced from Native Seeds/SEARCH and provided by the Glendale Water Services Department – Conservation & Sustainable Living Division. Stop by any of our four locations to select the perfect seeds for your garden.

Seed Types

The varieties of seeds we have in stock change often, with the biggest new selections in spring and summer. Click here to see which seeds are currently available.

Checking Out Seeds

Select a card with a picture of the seeds you want from one of the Seed Library displays shown in the image above. Bring it to the Public Service Desk, where a staff member will take the card from you and give you the seeds you’ve selected. The seeds are yours to keep; you don't need to return anything to the library. You may check out up to three different types of seeds every seven days. Seed packets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and holds are not allowed. Happy gardening!
