Code Compliance Volunteer
The City of Glendale encourages involvement in government through volunteerism. Our volunteers are concerned citizens and are the foundation of this program. The objective for the volunteer is to work together with the City by assisting our code compliance efforts and better address the needs of Glendale residents. Their efforts help preserve and improve residential neighborhoods and help make Glendale a better place to live, work and play.
Citizen Code Compliance volunteers assume some simple tasks similar to those which are normally performed by Code Compliance personnel. You will not be asked to inspect your own neighborhood and no interior inspections of structures will be required.
Code Compliance
The Code Compliance Division is looking for volunteers to remove illegally placed signs from public rights-of-way. Volunteers often work in pairs and will receive training to identify the illegal signs, be provided with the appropriate safety equipment and tools, and have staff support when necessary. Illegal signs create blight in Glendale neighborhoods and together we can make a positive difference to keep our City clean.
Clerical Support
Clerical support volunteers are needed in a variety of City departments, such as Code Compliance. Code Compliance is looking for a clerical support volunteer to complete general filing tasks and purge older files.
