When you can't come to the library, the library can come to you! Take advantage of our many options for entertainment, education, and information while staying at home.

Although all of these resources are free, some of them require a Glendale Public Library card for access.

Don't have a library card? Get an eCard from home! After submitting this application form, you will receive a response containing your new eCard number and PIN within two business days.

Digital Library

The Digital Library is always open 24/7. Read eBooks and magazines, listen to audiobooks and music, and watch streaming videos through the providers listed below.  We even have online comic books! See below for details.

For free access to digital library content, you will need your library card barcode (the number on the back of your library card) and PIN number. Your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number, unless you requested a different four-digit number when you received your card.

Visit our Digital Library page for more information about these resources, including help documents, getting started guides, and "how-to" videos.

Distance Learning Databases

Need to help your children with their schoolwork? Featured below, the Glendale Public Library offers everything from live online homework help from qualified tutors via Brainfuse HelpNow, to language learning with Rocket Languages.

To see the full range of our online resources, please visit our Databases page. As a special bonus, Ancestry Library Edition is now available from home for your genealogical research through the end of December, and will be re-evaluated as needed.

You will need your library card barcode (the number on the back of your library card) and PIN number for free access to these resources. Your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number, unless you requested a different four-digit number when you received your card.
