Summer Reading 2020: Imagine Your Story — Now Extended Through August 15!

Imagine Your StoryThe temperatures are above 100, the kids are out of school, and summer reading has been extended through August 15! Glendale Public Library is proud to offer "Imagine Your Story," Maricopa County's 2020 Summer Reading Program for all ages. 

Designed to maintain and improve literacy skills throughout the summer, the program allows participants to earn points, unlock badges, and win prizes by logging their reading and community experiences online! 

Prizes include:
  • 500 points: Peter Piper Pizza free personal pizza coupon (ages 0-11)
    Raising Cane's free lemonade coupon (all ages)
  • 750 points: Arizona State Park Pass (all ages)
  • 1000 points: Free book (all ages)
    Sonic free small Famous Slush coupon (all ages, while supplies last)
    Applebee's free Kids Meal coupon (ages 0-11, while supplies last)
  • Grand Prize Drawings:
    • Harkins Family Pack (one drawing per library)
    • Legoland Discovery Center Family Pack of four tickets (two drawings for the entire Maricopa County Summer Reading Program; ages 0-11)
    • Sea Life Aquarium Family Pack of 4 tickets (two drawings for the entire Maricopa County Summer Reading Program)
    • Phoenix Mercury's Brittney Griner autographed jersey (one drawing for the entire Maricopa County Summer Reading Program)
    • Magic set from Thames and Kosmos (two drawings for the GPL library system)
You can choose a free audiobook download instead of the free book, or donate your book to a local Head Start classroom.

In addition, an incredible lineup of over 25 streaming programs will be presented throughout the summer by local performers! Every week during the months of June and July — and now with additional programs through August 15 — summer reading participants will gain streaming access to new programs, including storytelling, magicians, craft and cooking workshops, musical performances, and more!
