When you can't come to the library, the library can come to you! Take advantage of our many options for entertainment, education, and information while staying at home.

Although all of these resources are free, some of them require a Glendale Public Library card for access.

Don't have a library card? Get an eCard from home! After submitting this application form, you will receive a response containing your new eCard number and PIN within two business days.

Digital Library

The Digital Library is always open 24/7. Read eBooks and magazines, listen to audiobooks and music, and watch streaming videos through the providers listed below.  We even have online comic books! See below for details.

For free access to digital library content, you will need your library card barcode (the number on the back of your library card) and PIN number. Your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number, unless you requested a different four-digit number when you received your card.

Visit our Digital Library page for more information about these resources, including help documents, getting started guides, and "how-to" videos.

Live Video Conferencing Programs

These live, interactive programs take place at a specific time on Zoom, an online video conferencing platform. You must register in advance for these programs. The library staff member running the program will email you a link to access the event before it begins.

Prerecorded Programs

Our prerecorded videos are available to watch 24/7! You can also browse through our prerecorded videos on our YouTube playlists.

Kids can also check out our Storyline service below to listen to stories by phone!

Virtual Special Events

These virtual special events are generally a mix of live Zoom and prerecorded programs. The live programs are usually recorded for later viewing as well, so you can catch up later if you like, or just enjoy the experience all over again.
